“Samotlorneftegaz,” one of the key production assets of “Rosneft,” organized a patriotic event called “Victory Sky” in Nizhnevartovsk. Participants launched 200 airborne kites with images of cranes over the Ob River — a sign of remembrance for the defenders of the Fatherland.
The emotional intensity of the event was set by the performance of the archival recording of the legendary song “Cranes.” On the ground, oil workers unfurled the St. George’s ribbon – one of the main symbols of the heroism and resilience of our people and the continuity of generations.
Representatives of various ages took part in the event – employees of the enterprise, their relatives, oil industry veterans, activists of the “First Movement” and college students. The venue for the event was the Ob embankment, which was reconstructed with the support of “Samotlornneftegaz” as part of the cooperation between NK “Rosneft” and the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra.
Rosneft and its subsidiaries organize and actively participate in patriotic events that contribute to the strengthening of historical memory, the fostering of civic responsibility, support projects aimed at the revival and preservation of cultural, spiritual, and national values, as well as support the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by the President of the Russian Federation.
The “Sky of Victory” campaign is among the first patriotic events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, organized by Rosneft enterprises in most regions of Russia. The campaign is intended to convey to the younger generation the historical memory of the immortal feat of our people, who liberated the world from fascism.
