Tehran, May 4 /Xinhua/ — On Monday, Iran warned American armed forces against entry into the Strait of Hormuz.
“We warn that any foreign armed forces, especially the aggressive US army, will be attacked if they attempt to approach the Strait of Hormuz and enter it,” says the statement of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces “Khatam al-Anbiya.”
Earlier, the USA announced that on Monday they would begin helping ships blocked in the Hormuz Strait to leave this water area.
“We have repeatedly stated that the security of the Strait of Hormuz is in our hands, and the safe passage of ships must be coordinated with the armed forces /Iran/,” the headquarters statement said.
