Jakarta, April 29 /Xinhua/ — On Tuesday, the presentation of the English version of the fifth volume of the book “Xi Jinping on State Governance” took place here.

Event participants noted that the fifth volume of the book reflects the latest achievements in the development of Xi Jinping’s ideas on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and is an authoritative work for the international community, helping to understand contemporary China.

China has embarked on a new path within the framework of its 15th five-year plan (2026-2030), while Indonesia is steadfastly advancing towards its vision of the “Golden Indonesia-2045.” According to them, by strengthening strategic synergy and deepening cooperation for the sake of development, the two countries will not only bring tangible benefits to their peoples but also provide a powerful impetus for the growth of the Global South and the improvement of the global governance system.

Ahmad Muzani, chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia / the highest legislative body of Indonesia, said in his speech that the book is a valuable reference material for Indonesian diplomatic, academic, and political circles, and its presentation serves as an important platform for deepening the exchange of ideas and views between the two countries.

He expressed hope that more Indonesian officials, scientists, and youth would read this important work, deepen their understanding of China’s development path and philosophy of governance, and also broaden their views on the world and the development of humanity in the future.

“During my visit to China, I witnessed how the country achieved success in the fight against poverty thanks to a development philosophy oriented towards the interests of the people,” said Indonesia’s Minister for Transmigration, Muhammad Iftitah Suleiman Suryanagara.

“Key concepts and innovative practices of China in the field of poverty reduction management, rural area development, and coordinated regional growth are a systematic and valuable guide for Indonesia in facilitating the orderly relocation of the population and accelerating development in its eastern region,” he added.

At the event, experts and scientists exchanged views on topics such as the possibilities provided by China’s 15th five-year plan, overall modernization, and experience in combating poverty.

Representatives of the training program for Indonesian rural officials shared their experience of training and participation in an exchange in China, as well as how they applied the knowledge gained in China to village management.

Approximately 200 participants from China and Indonesia took part in the event, including representatives of the publishing sector, analytical centers, and mass media.
