Master’s students of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering worthily represented the university at the final stage of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in the profile “Production and application of building materials, products, and structures,” which took place on April 15–16 in Novosibirsk. The team includedKsenia Frolova, Karolina KonevaиMusa Kikaev.The preparation and support of the participants were carried out by the team leader – an associate professor of the Department of Building Materials Technology and MetrologyGeorgiy Khrenov.
The competition program at the Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) included solving complex engineering problems requiring deep knowledge and unconventional thinking. In addition to the competitive tests, the master’s students visited the educational center “TEKHNOKOL” and the consulting center KNAUF-NGAU, where they familiarized themselves with innovative technologies for facade devices, roofing, and finishing works. During the visit, Musa Kikaev distinguished himself in the special partner competition, taking an honorableSecond place.The professional program was supplemented with a cultural component – a tour of the historical center of Novosibirsk.
