For the employees of the capital’s ambulance service, a professional holiday was organized with an interactive program at the international exhibition of contemporary art “VMESTE” in Skolkovo. It included a concert, a tour of the exposition, and a presentation of a new art object — “The Ambulance Flies to Help.” It was reported byAnastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.
“For working in the ambulance service, a special, heroic mindset and character are essential. One must be able to make quick decisions, soothe others, and at the same time remain attentive, sensitive to another’s pain. Because ambulance workers are the first ones nearby. They are the ones who give hope. Today, the capital city’s ambulance service employs 11 thousand doctors, paramedics, and drivers. On average, they carry out about 12 thousand calls per day, which is over four million annually.”In honor of the professional holiday, we decided to prepare a special program for the employees of the capital’s ambulance service: a tour of the contemporary art exhibition “TOGETHER,” which is taking place in the new building of Oncology Hospital No. 62 in “Skolkovo,” a chamber music concert, and also the opening of a new art object “The Ambulance Flies to Help.” A regular ambulance car was decorated using the image of a swallow, a symbol of speed and good news, meaning that help is already on its way,” said Anastasia Rakova.
The professional holiday of medical workers was also congratulated by the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital’s Department of Health.Aleksei Khripun.
The art object was created by artist Zhenya Zhelvakov. According to his idea, the red birds on the car hood in the style of folk painting represent the traditional symbol of good news that help has arrived.
“Modern Moscow ambulances are an example of advanced technology, the most important transport on our roads. It would be ideal if it could move through the city at the speed of a bird in flight. One of the fastest birds in the world is the swallow. That is why its image was chosen for the design as a symbol of speed and endurance,” the artist explained.
Moscow ambulance service today is one of the most efficient services in the world. Currently, there is a large-scale update of the fleet with new generation vehicles: the space is maximally ergonomic, all equipment is located within arm’s reach. This year, 350 such vehicles will be delivered to the medical service for general-profile teams.
According to the chief physician of the A.S. Puchkov Station of Emergency and Urgent Medical Care, the modern ambulance vehicle is already an object of art. It concentrates all the most innovative approaches to space organization, implements the best solutions for equipment placement, and every detail and nuance has been carefully thought out.
