At the Department of Transport Systems and Road and Bridge Construction (TSiDMS) of SPbGASUApril 21–24The III All-Russian round of the competition of qualification works of bachelor’s graduates in the fields of training 08.03.01, 08.04.01 Construction, training profiles “Automobile Roads and Aerodromes”, “Road Bridges and Tunnels”, in specialties 08.05.01 Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures, specialization “Construction of Highways, Aerodromes and Special Structures” and 08.05.02 Construction, Operation, Restoration and Technical Covering of Automobile Roads, Bridges and Tunnels, specialization “Construction (Reconstruction), Operation and Technical Covering of Automobile Roads.”

247 final qualification works participated in the competition, competing in all 20 nominations presented in the competition within each of the training directions. The works were submitted by 27 universities from 23 cities. The works were evaluated by experts from SPbGASU and other universities participating in the competition.

Competition experts: Natalia Artemyeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Highways and Urban Structures at the Engineering and Construction Institute of the Siberian Federal University; Andrey Zazykina, Dean of the Automobile and Road Faculty of SPbGASU; Valeria Fyodorova, Senior Lecturer at the Higher School of Transport Construction, Geodesy and Land Management at the Pacific State University

Among the students of SPBGASU, studying in the direction 08.03.01 Construction (training profile: “Automobile Roads”), the winner of the competition in the nomination “Design of transport facilities on automobile roads” wasPolina Baraban(Second place). VK : “Project for the reconstruction of the transport interchange ‘Northern exit of Kaliningrad city – Pobedy Avenue’. Leader – senior lecturer of the TSIDMS departmentAnna Simonova.

Prize places in the competition were also awarded to students studying in the field 08.04.01 Construction (training profile “Automobile Roads”) in the following nomination:

  • “Design of highways”:Mikhail Lebedev(second place), topic BK A – “Study of the impact of heavy multi-axle vehicles on road structures.” Supervisor – associate professor of the TSIDMS department k. t. n.Maria Klekovkina;

  • “Designing transport facilities on highways”:Emil Dzhumaev(second place), theme VKR – “Methodological foundations of informational modeling of artificial structures on highways.” Supervisor – Associate Professor of the Department of TSIDMS, candidate of technical sciences.Nikolai Kozak;

  • “City streets and roads”:Aleksey Kornev(second place), topic of the VK contest – “Development of road clothing structures for the industrial area of Saint Petersburg”. Supervisor – Maria Klekovkina;

  • “Content, repair, major overhaul, and reconstruction of city streets and roads”:Karina Fedotova(second place), topic VK – “Improvement of structural and planning solutions of ring intersections.” Supervisor – Anna Simonova;

  • “Artificial structures in the settlement”:Alexander Martynov(third place), VCM theme – “Study of ASUDD effectiveness to improve road traffic safety on highways.” Leader –Anna Simonova.
