At the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the solemn closing of the interregional forum and the student work competition “Architectural Seasons 2026” took place. The project was implemented with the support of Rosmolodezh and united students, teachers, the professional community, and experts in the field of architecture.
During two weeks, forum participants took part in a rich educational and business program: round tables, lectures, workshops, excursions, and discussion formats were held. The competition part included 17 nominations, which featured projects from university students, colleges, and educational institutions. A total of 97 works were submitted, and the best among them were selected for exhibition. In the open voting, 2270 people participated, resulting in the selection of 49 laureates.
With a welcoming word to the participants of the ceremony addressed the acting dean of the Faculty of Architecture of SPbGASU, head of the Department of Architectural Design, associate professor, candidate of architectureAndrey Surovenkov:“It’s really great that events like these bring us all together and give us the opportunity to discuss our work, exchange experiences and impressions. In fact, we are one big team, and meetings like this help us become stronger as a professional community.”
He noted that the forum united several generations of participants – from schoolchildren to graduate students and teachers, and emphasized the importance of such initiatives for professional growth and the formation of the architectural community.
Representatives of the Architecture Faculty of SPbGASU participated in the award ceremony. Diplomas to the winners were presented by the associate professor of the Department of Architectural Design.Darya Boytsova,and also acting head of the Department of Architectural and Urban Heritage, associate professor, candidate of architectureNadezhda Akulova.
Addressing the participants of the competition,Darya Boytsovaemphasized the importance of the project for the development of student initiatives: “The competition has gained development, which is very pleasant, and I hope that in the future the development will be even more intensive. Architecture is a huge field with many directions, and each of you can find your place in it.”
Nadezhda Akulovareminded that last year “Architectural Seasons” received a grant for development from Rosmolodezh and noted the importance of student participation in competitive activities and the implementation of their own projects: “This is a unique case when such a successful approval of a grant project took place at the faculty. Any initiative can receive support — and this competition clearly demonstrates that.”
During the ceremony, the winners in various categories were announced, covering a wide range of architectural design — from residential and public buildings to urban planning solutions and landscaping projects.
The culmination of the evening was the announcement of the winner of the grand prize of the competition. The highest award was received by a student of SPbGASUAleksey Khimichev.His project was commended by the jury for its high level of elaboration, originality, and professional expressiveness.
The organizers emphasized that the “Architectural Seasons” continue to develop as an important educational and creative platform, contributing to the professional development of future architects. The forum brings together students of various levels of training, creating conditions for the exchange of experience and demonstration of best practices in architecture.
The event concluded with a solemn awarding of the winners and words of gratitude to all participants, mentors, and organizers who contributed to the implementation of the project.
