Minsk, April 3 /Sinyaya/ — Belarus’s gold and currency reserves as of April 1, 2026, amounted to 15.2 billion US dollars. The corresponding information was published by the press service of the National Bank of Belarus on Friday.
The country’s international reserve assets decreased by $1.1 billion in March due to the decline in gold prices in the international financial market.
The largest share in the structure of Belarus’ international reserve assets is occupied by assets in foreign currency and monetary gold. According to the National Bank’s data, the volume of foreign currency in reserves as of April 1, 2026 exceeded 5.85 billion dollars, having decreased by 58.5 million dollars in March. The volume of monetary gold amounted to more than 7.98 billion dollars, having decreased by more than 1.05 billion dollars.
According to the target indicators of monetary-credit policy, the volume of Belarus’s international reserve assets at the end of 2026 should be at least 9.2 billion dollars. –0–
