Beijing, July 7 /Xinhua/ — China’s foreign exchange reserves at the end of last month amounted to 3.4163 trillion US dollars, which is 26 billion US dollars, or 0.75 percent, less than the level at the end of May. This is evidenced by data released on Tuesday by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) of China.

In June, the US dollar index rose, while prices for major global financial assets were mixed, noted the GUVK.

A combination of factors, including the recalculation of the exchange rate and changes in asset prices, led to a decrease in China’s foreign exchange reserves last month, noted the aforementioned agency.
