Los Angeles, July 6 /Xinhua/ — Four people were injured on Sunday in California as a result of a shooting after the World Cup soccer match between the Mexico and England teams; the shooter has not yet been detained. This was reported on Monday by KTLA television channel citing the police.

The incident occurred around 9:30 PM local time in Los Angeles County. Fans of the Mexican national team had gathered at an intersection after England’s victory over Mexico in the round of 16 of the World Cup. Following an argument, someone pulled out a gun and fired several shots. Two people, who were presumably the targets of the shooting, were injured, as well as two bystanders: a woman and a minor male youth.

As of Monday morning, no one has been arrested and the authorities have not released any information about the suspect. –0–
