Vienna, July 5 /Xinhua/ — The OPEC+ countries agreed on Sunday to increase the oil production ceiling in August by 188,000 barrels per day from the July level. This was stated in a declaration published after the virtual OPEC+ meeting.
“As part of the collective commitment to maintaining stability in the oil market, seven participating countries have decided to adjust production by 188 thousand barrels per day in accordance with the additional voluntary adjustments announced in April 2023. This adjustment will be implemented in August 2026,” the statement says.
