Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova held a meeting of the Coordination Council under the Government for the implementation of the National Strategy of Actions in the Interests of Women for 2023–2030. The meeting discussed the outcomes of activities related to the development of educational programs, mentoring projects, and awareness-raising initiatives for women, issues of career guidance for schoolgirls, building successful career paths for female students, and involving women in scientific research within projects in the fields of healthcare and biometric technology development.
“Creating conditions for successful career trajectories for female students and young women is a strategic task of the state. It is important that the issues of the National Strategy of Action in the Interests of Women are integrated with the activities of existing women’s movements and the Women’s Movement of “United Russia,”” said Tatyana Golikova.
The meeting participants discussed the implementation of educational programs, mentoring projects, and outreach projects for women.
Thus, in 2025, the Union of Women of Russia carried out mentoring and educational projects aimed at women of different age and social groups. Mentoring was conducted in the fields of women’s entrepreneurship and self-employment, women’s and family public initiatives, scientific-technical, medical, social, and creative sectors, as well as intergenerational mentoring in the field of family values, responsible motherhood, and fatherhood.
The Union of Women of Russia actively develops informational and educational activities, including the production of original programs, recordings of lectures and seminars, as well as podcasts. Among them is the weekly program “Women’s Question,” as well as a series of films within the television project “Mom Can!,” which aims to promote a positive image of women successfully realizing themselves in family, professional, and social spheres.
In 2025, the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Russia – Land of Opportunity” also implemented a number of educational events: the programs “Woman Leader. North and Far East. Centers of Attraction” and “Woman Leader. Donbass and Novorossiya 2.0,” aimed at forming and developing a community of successful women leaders; “Women of Russia. Mission: Victory” aimed at the effective social adaptation and integration of women serving the Motherland into public, official, and labor life; and the program “Woman Leader. BRICS+,” whose goal was to strengthen cooperation between the BRICS countries and the BRICS partner countries by promoting shared values.
Meeting participants also discussed issues related to organizing career guidance for schoolgirls, including a focus on education and employment in technical specialties. Currently, a unified career guidance model is implemented in all schools among students in grades 6 through 11. Career guidance allows students to attend practical events and understand the specifics of various professional activities. In the 2024/2025 academic year, events under the unified career guidance model, implemented by more than 13,000 enterprises, covered over 8.5 million students. In 2025, more than 1.2 million schoolchildren participated in professional trials, over 2.2 million attended excursions based on employer-partners, and more than 1.8 million took part in master classes. Events were held, including for technical professions such as 3D engineering design modeler, BIM designer, design engineer, and programmer. The unified career guidance model is implemented in seven directions, including the organization of specialized pre-professional classes, informational support for parents, excursions to enterprises and organizations, master classes, professional trials, career fairs, and open house days.
In addition, the meeting addressed the issue of creating a motivating and supportive environment for building successful career trajectories for female students and young scientists through immersion in professional activities, development of necessary competencies, and collaboration with mentors from various industries.
The all-Russian project “Mentorship School,” implemented since 2022, contributes to building a successful career path for students by creating a mentorship environment and developing the necessary professional skills.
In the fourth season of 2025, the program covered six areas: youth policy, education, culture, agriculture, medicine, and transport. Key features included the implementation of participants’ own initiatives, online and offline meetings, supervisions, conducting professional diagnostics and scientific research on the values of mentorship, as well as organizing the final event – the “NeForum” finale. The season involved 71 mentors and 214 mentees from among students and postgraduates of Russian universities.
In the 2026 season, two more areas have been added: sports and industry. It is planned to attract 64 mentors and 250 mentee students, which will not only expand the project’s coverage but also increase its effectiveness – creating a sustainable mentoring environment for the professional development of young specialists.
The participants of the meeting also discussed organizing activities to involve women in scientific research and educational outreach within projects in healthcare and biometric technology development.
In 2025, female employees from 93 scientific and educational institutions of the Ministry of Health of Russia participated in scientific research and educational activities. These organizations conducted 660 research projects, involving over 3.5 thousand female employees. Within the framework of grants, clinical approval protocols, preclinical and clinical trials, the institutions of the Ministry of Health of Russia conducted 2,518 research projects in 2025, involving over 6.1 thousand female employees.
In addition, over 126.9 thousand female employees participated in more than 2,000 scientific, educational, and outreach events in the fields of healthcare and biomedical technology development in 2025, organized by institutions of the Russian Ministry of Health. More than 31.8 thousand female employees of the Ministry of Health of Russia’s organizations became authors of scientific monographs, articles, and publications in scientific and popular science journals.
Also in 2025, the second forum “Women for a Healthy Society” took place, with the number of participants exceeding 800 people.
