Tbilisi, July 3 /Xinhua/ — Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Friday signed a joint declaration on strategic partnership here.
As I. Kobakhidze stated, this document will create new opportunities for cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, scientific-technical, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
In turn, Sh. Mirziyoyev noted that Georgia is an important partner and a reliable support for Uzbekistan in the South Caucasus.
The President of Uzbekistan made a state visit to Georgia from July 2 to 3. During the visit, a number of documents on cooperation in the fields of economy, healthcare, environmental protection, agriculture, finance, customs, education, information and communication technologies, and culture were also signed. –0–
