Specialistscomplex of urban economy of Moscowa fountain has been prepared for launch in the Repinsky square on Bolotnaya embankment in the city center. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and ImprovementPyotr Biryukov.
“On the eve of the opening of the fountain season, which traditionally begins at the end of April, work was carried out on the de-preservation and washing of the fountain in Repinsky Square. The work was carried out by a special team, engaging a wash-and-watering machine,” said Petr Biryukov.
First, specialists thoroughly cleaned all the hydraulic structure elements using brushes. Then they treated the granite surface with a cleaning agent to remove lime deposits. In addition, they checked the condition of the equipment, control systems, and automation.
Repinsky Square was renovated in 2021 — a walking area with outdoor swings, sports and children’s playgrounds was arranged there. Existing trees on the territory were pruned and new ones planted, lanterns and benches were installed, designed in the style of the late 1940s. Additionally, a passage from Bolotnaya Embankment was made. As a result, a new convenient route appeared between it and Sofiyskaya Embankment.

As part of the spring cleaning in the city, engineering structures are being extensively washed after the autumn-winter period. In total, by the end of April, more than two thousand objects will be put in order. These include bridges, tunnels, underground and above-ground pedestrian crossings, embankments, quays, fountains, as well as monuments.
