Last week, permission was obtained to commission the Educational and Scientific Center of the Institute of Medicine and Medical Technologies (ESC IMMT) of NSU, which is part of the facilities of the Novosibirsk State University campus.
The creation of the campus in the Novosibirsk region is funded by the federal budget within the framework of the federal project “Creation of a network of modern campuses” under the national project “Youth and Children”.
The Educational and Scientific Center of IMMT NSU is the sixth building of the campus and belongs to the second phase. The implementation of the second phase of the campus project includes three buildings: the lecture hall building — commissioned in 2024, the Educational and Scientific Center of the Institute of Medicine and Medical Technologies of NSU — commissioned on 23.06.2026, and the Research Center — planned to be commissioned in 2026.
The new building of the educational and scientific center will house 13 practical training rooms and 8 laboratories — for molecular pharmacology, metabolomic research, medical chemistry, molecular virology and oncology, as well as one of the most modern and high-tech accreditation-simulation centers in Russia for training future doctors, with an area of about 1400 square meters.
In addition to standard simulators for training doctors, it includes a “Disaster Medicine” section and robotic simulators for endoscopic surgery, ultrasound, and endoscopic examinations. It will also house an accreditation center for doctors of various specialties, making the space a unified platform for training, practice, and objective assessment of professional skills.
About 700 students in medical, pharmaceutical, and psychological fields will study in the new building of the UNTs IMMT, including new programs — “Medical Cybernetics” and “Industrial Pharmacy,” which appeared at NSU in 2025.

From 2022 to 2025, as part of the implementation of the 1st and 2nd phases of the campus construction, two dormitories, an academic building, and a leisure center of the SUSC NSU, as well as a building of lecture halls of NSU with a total area of more than 54 thousand square meters were constructed and put into operation.
