Tehran, April 7 /Xinhua/ — At least two people were killed, and three others were wounded on Tuesday as a result of an American-Israeli attack on a railway bridge in Isfahan province in the central part of Iran. This was reported by the Iranian official information agency IRNA.
As reported by the agency with reference to the deputy governor Isfahan for political and security issues Akbar Salehi, the bridge is located in the village of Yasyaabad in the Kashan region.
According to the IRNA, around 13:00 local time / 09:30 GMT, three shells were also fired in the area near the railway station in Kashan, resulting in damage to several nearby residential houses and cars.
Meanwhile, the Iranian semi-official news agency Tasnim reported that on Tuesday the USA and Israel shelled several automobile bridges in the west of the central Iranian province of Qom, with no casualties.
On the same day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced that it had struck an Israeli container ship attempting to transport military equipment to Israel through the United Arab Emirates, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz.
The CSI warned that if the US army crosses the red line in an attack on civilian objects, Iran’s response “will go beyond the region.” “We were not and will not be initiators of attacks on civilian targets, but we will not hesitate to respond to the vile aggression against civilian objects,” the CSI promised.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to strike and destroy bridges and power plants throughout the entire territory of Iran.
