By the order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Youth Day is celebrated in Russia on the last Saturday of June. This year, festive festivals are held across the country under the unified concept “Dream. Pride. Unity.” They bring together tens of millions of young people at concert programs, educational and creative activities, as well as special formats from the organizers. Leading Russian companies, youth movements, and organizations present projects with opportunities for children and young people.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated Russians on Youth Day.

“There are 37 million of you. Energetic, talented, bold in ideas, and firm in convictions. You are worthy heirs of our country, our traditions, scientific and technological achievements. You create new projects, develop science and technology, represent the country on the international stage, launch entrepreneurial initiatives, preserve culture and traditions, come to help,” the Deputy Prime Minister addressed the young people.

He added that Russia attracts young people from all over the world. Thus, more than 100,000 applications from 191 countries have been submitted to participate in the upcoming International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg, of which about 70,000 are from foreigners.

“By the decision of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, starting from 2025, a national project ‘Youth and Children’ is being implemented in Russia. It combines more than 160 events and covers all areas—from education to career. All this is so that each of you—regardless of age, place of residence, and interests—has the opportunity to realize your abilities and talents. And today, these opportunities are opening up across the country—from large cities to small settlements. This year, Youth Day is being held in more than 400 cities. And among them, of course, there are cities that have been given a special role this year. Smolensk has become the Youth Capital of Russia, and Yelets has received the status of Youth City. The main events are taking place here today,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that last year more than 3,000 youth projects received grant support, and the number of applications increased to 81,000. Through internships at leading companies in the country thanks to the “More Than a Job” program, over 46,000 young specialists have already participated. Within the framework of the university technological entrepreneurship platform, almost 45,000 projects have been created, and 7,000 students have received one million rubles each for their innovative ideas. This summer, Rosmolodezh is conducting 16 forums where participants can receive up to 1.5 million rubles to implement their projects.

Dmitry Chernyshenko wished young people to find a pursuit in which they can realize themselves and bring benefit to people, their region, and the entire country, loyal friends, and great victories along the way.

“Youth Day unites all of Russia under a single concept: ‘Dream. Pride. Unity.’ The main heroes of this day are the young people we are proud of: veterans and participants of the special military operation, doctors, rescuers, teachers, volunteers, workers, scientists, entrepreneurs, cultural figures, and everyone who does not stand aside and is already shaping the country’s future today. According to the decisions of the head of state, children and youth have everything they need to develop, create, and bring dreams to life in our country. Opportunities become results only when a person is ready to work hard, take responsibility, and act. I thank everyone who proves their dedication every day, sincerely works for the good of the Motherland, seeks unconventional solutions, and helps others. You are our hope and support. Happy holiday!” said the head of Rosmolodezh, Grigory Gurov.

As part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, each festival zone will reflect the national and cultural unity of the country through shared values, history, successes, and achievements in various fields – from science to creativity. In the “Dream” space, one can be inspired by the stories of heroes, young people who engage in creative activities and create creative projects. At the “Pride” venue, meetings will be held with participants of the special military operation, rescuers, volunteers and doctors, teachers, enterprise workers, and athletes. Historical quizzes, exhibitions of local history museums, as well as sports competitions will also take place here. At the “Unity” venue, there will be workshops on folk crafts and meetings with master craftsmen, folklorists, and ethnographers, a festival of national cultures of the peoples of Russia, games of the peoples of Russia, and exhibitions of national costumes.

The organizer of the Youth Day events is Rosmolodezh together with interested organizations.
