Moscow, June 29 /Xin Hua/ — The key reasons for the successes of the Communist Party of China (CPC) lie in the well-known slogan “Serve the People.” This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Denisov, in an interview with Xin Hua on the eve of the 105th anniversary of the CPC’s founding.
“The Chinese Communist Party has achieved success in all areas of the country’s life. Being the core and center of social governance, it has set the task of mobilizing resources and organizing efforts to solve both internal and external challenges facing the country — from eradicating poverty to becoming world leaders in science and innovation. These successes are well known and widely recognized. Moreover, this was accomplished in historically compressed periods under not always favorable international conditions,” said A. Denisov.
According to him, the main reasons for achievements are a clear ideological position, expressed, among other things, in the well-known slogan “Serve the people,” a sequence and systematic nature of actions, that is, the identification and mobilization of active factors, as well as purposefulness. The essence of party leadership lies in the ability to correctly set development goals and properly organize their implementation, believes A. Denisov. The CPC has convincingly demonstrated how this should be done, the agency interlocutor added.
A Russian parliamentarian, who worked for many years as an ambassador to the UN, believes that the CPC in its practical work managed to find the optimal combination of the old and the new, the ideological basis of politics, and the changed conditions of its implementation.
“It is precisely in practice that China has proven that the goals of social development can be achieved not only within the framework of the Western civilizational model, the so-called Westernization, but also on a different basis, with strict consideration of national specifics and the interests of the entire society, not just the elite. The Chinese model of modernization under the leadership of the ruling party, which has a clear ideological position and is supported by the people, has global significance precisely because it has been tested and confirmed by practice,” said A. Denisov.

In recent years, China has put forward a number of global initiatives concerning issues of development, security, civilizational specificity, and reform of global governance.
“The four global initiatives are a kind of first attempt to formulate a direction for movement towards the future world. After all, no country in the world has put forward such initiatives in such a systematic presentation before,” noted the interlocutor from Xinhua.
Today, truly tectonic changes are taking place on our planet, continued A. Denisov, associated both with the rupture of the usual political and economic coordinates, as well as with natural factors, with climate change. There is an increase in the threat of military conflicts, the complication of security issues both at the regional and global levels.
“China’s proposals are a good basis for everyone interested in implementation to think together about how to do this, because building a common destiny for humanity is not the business of leaders and officials, but of all countries of the world: both large and small,” he is confident.
“Proposals from China, as well as proposals from the Russian Federation, including those jointly formulated by us, concern the establishment of a multipolar world. They help to better understand the essence of what is happening and designate where and how humanity should move in order to create peaceful conditions for development and build a common future based on a fair and equal world political and economic environment,” the parliamentarian emphasized.
“The joint declaration on the establishment of a multipolar world / and new-type international relations, adopted following the results of the meeting at the highest level of the leaders of Russia and China in Beijing in May of this year, can be considered as our common proposal, as an invitation to discuss the fate of the world in a new era,” concluded A.
