Urumqi, June 26 /Xin Hua/ — On Thursday in the city of Urumqi, the administrative center of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR, Northwest China), the event “Export of Kazakh goods to China” took place as part of the 9th EXPO “China-Eurasia”.

At the event, speeches were delivered by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, Akim of the Abay Region, Berik Uali, and Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aidar Abildabekov.

Several Chinese and Kazakhstani companies made presentations at the event. Participants from both countries also held in-depth discussions on issues of product import, cooperation in sales channels, market expansion, and joint development of the supply chain.

The 9th EXPO “China-Eurasia” will be held from June 25 to 29 in Urumqi. The exhibition area of this EXPO is about 140 thousand square meters. It is equipped with six thematic exhibition zones dedicated to investment cooperation, productive forces of new quality, specific and competitive industries, green development, integration of culture and tourism, and cooperation within the framework of the Silk Road. As honorary guest countries this year, Kazakhstan and Pakistan will participate.

Since 2011, 140 thousand Chinese and foreign exhibitors from more than 120 countries and regions around the world have participated in EXPO, with about 2 million people visiting the pavilions.
