In Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, and Ufa, the regional tours of the 21st Summer Sports Games “Rosneft” took place, in which 22 teams and more than 860 athletes participated.
Oil industry workers competed in mini-football, volleyball, basketball, power pentathlon, table tennis, chess, kettlebell sport, shot put pushing, running, billiards, shooting, tug-of-war, darts, and swimming. Based on the competition results, winners were determined in individual and team events, who received well-deserved medals and cups.
The organizer of the games in Krasnoyarsk was “RN-Vankor”, the largest oil-producing enterprise in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Athletes-oilmen from the Company’s subsidiaries in Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Novy Urengoy, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk took part in this bright and large-scale tournament this year.
In the overall team competition, the undisputed leader in games at the Krasnoyarsk venue was the team of the Angarsk Oil Chemical Company (Angara), second place went to “Verkhnechonskneftegaz”, and third place was taken by athletes from the “Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf” national team.
In Moscow, the teams of the extraction enterprises “Uvatneftegaz” and “Udmurtneft” confidently secured tickets to the final part of the Summer Sports Games, as well as the team of the scientific institute “RN-Design Extraction”.
In Ufa, athletes from the enterprises “Bashneft”, “RN-Transport”, “Bashneft-Stroy” and “RN-Technology” competed. The trio of leaders remained unchanged compared to last year. “Bashneft-Processing” was again first, taking prize places in all types of sports. “Ufaorgsintez” improved the result, taking second place, while “Bashneft-Extraction”, which took silver a year ago, this time closed the list of prize winners.
The winners of the regional tours will meet in the final, which will take place in the autumn, where the best athletes of the 22nd Summer Sports Games will be determined.
