Almost 2.5 billion rubles will be allocated from the Cabinet’s reserve fund to eliminate the consequences of floods in Dagestan and Chechnya. The order about this was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.
With the help of allocated funds, emergency restoration work will be carried out on the hydraulic structure, as well as urgent work to restore the throughput capacity of riverbeds and the construction of temporary dams on the territory of these republics.
In March – April 2026, heavy rains occurred in certain districts of Dagestan and Chechnya. The bad weather led to large-scale flooding, resulting in damage to residential houses, household plots, significant educational and healthcare facilities, as well as communal and engineering infrastructure. By order of the President, a government commission was established to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster.
Speaking about the decision made onGovernment meeting on June 25, Mikhail Mishustin instructed his colleagues to keep the effectiveness of all ongoing work under personal control so that people and enterprises could return to their usual activities as quickly as possible.
