Beijing, June 25 /Xin Hua/ — From June 25 to July 1, China will hold the 2nd event for exchanges between young and middle-aged officers within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), announced an official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the PRC on Thursday.
Officers of young and middle age and representatives of defense agencies from SCO member states, observer states, and dialogue partner countries of this organization, as well as representatives of the SCO Secretariat, will participate in the event, stated the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the PRC, Zhang Xiaogan, at a departmental press conference.
Within the framework organized by the National University of Defense Technologies of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA), thematic lectures, seminars, and discussions, as well as visits, will take place.
This event is aimed at strengthening friendship, achieving consensus on cooperation, and actively promoting high-quality development of cooperation within the framework of the SCO in the field of defense and security, characterized by greater solidarity, coordination, viability, and productivity, said Zhang Xiaogan. -0-
