Significant Economic Growth Observed in China’s Autonomous Regions

Beijing, June 24 /Xin Hua/ — The gross regional product (GRP) of five autonomous prefectures at the provincial level in China grew from 3.25 trillion yuan / 477 billion USD / in 2012 to 8.66 trillion yuan in 2025, reported Duan Yijun, Deputy Head of the United Front Department of the CPC Central Committee, at a press conference organized by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC on Wednesday.

Among these five autonomous regions included are Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Sichuan Autonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
