A flock of yellow-breasted buntings was recently spotted in the wetlands of the Nenjiang River basin in the city of Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province. The yellow-breasted bunting is included in the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as a species on the brink of extinction and is classified as a protected wild animal of the first category under state protection in China.
