KAMAZ, together with its official partner – the NPO Transmaster plant (Miass city) – has introduced to the market a new model of a fuel tanker, created based on a heavy all-wheel-drive chassis of the K5 KAMAZ-65959 generation (6 × 6.1).
The new product has been developed taking into account the strictest requirements for safety, reliability, and ergonomics when working with hazardous cargoes in complex road conditions. The vehicle has a carrying capacity of more than 18 tons and a total weight of the road train of up to 65 tons, which makes it suitable for work in the oil and gas sector, as well as for supplying fuel to remote industrial facilities and settlements.
At the core are the special features – the high-tech chassis KAMAZ-65959, equipped with a modern inline six-cylinder KAMAZ R6 engine with a power of 483 hp and a torque of 2403 Nm, which guarantees confident operation under full load. The gearbox is mechanical, 16-speed. The vehicle is equipped with a comfortable K5 cab on a 4-point spring suspension with a modern onboard information system and improved ergonomics of the driver’s workplace. There is also an automatic tire inflation function.
The tank with a volume of 22 m³ is made according to the “suitcase” scheme and is divided into three independent sections (5/10/7 m³) with pneumatic control from the fuel delivery unit. This solution provides optimal load distribution on the axles and allows the simultaneous transportation of different types of petroleum products. The tank is made of high-strength carbon steel grade 09G2S with differentiated wall thickness for maximum durability. The structure is reinforced with transverse and longitudinal waves, and each compartment is equipped with its own environmental box.The auto fuel tanker fully complies with all the requirements of ADR (Agreement on International Dangerous Goods Road Transport).
Special attention was paid to operator convenience during the development of this model. The service platform is made of galvanized metal with a honeycomb structure and an anti-slip coating. For safe ascent, folding handrails with an automatic return function and steps with a folding lower part are provided.
The fuel dispensing unit (FDU) includes a reliable hydraulic pump SVN-80, a mesh filter DU 50, a PPO 25 meter, an inertia drum for laying an 8-meter antistatic hose, and a dispensing pistol AKT 25.
