Beijing, June 22 /Xinhua/ — On Saturday, a passenger ship with the first group of tourists departed from the KPP on Hainan Island in the city of Tunzhan, Chinese province of Hainan (Northeast China), which marked the official start of the cross-border one-day tour along the Tunzhan /KNP/ – Nižneleninskoye /RF/ route.
This was reported by the Chinese news agency “Chunggo Xinvenshe” on its website.
Tunzian is the only checkpoint in the Heilunzan province through which transport is carried out by water, automobile, and railway transport. The eastern area of the Tunzian checkpoint and the Russian checkpoint Nizhne Leninskoe are separated by the Heilunzan/Amur River. The ferry crossing takes only about 20 minutes.
In order to further improve the quality of tourist services, the KPP Tuntsyan continues to optimize the schedule of customs clearance and service model. For this, additional boat trips have been added and adjusted at the KPP. Starting from 14:00, a return trip is launched, which allows tourists to have enough time for relaxation abroad.
The successful launch of the cross-border one-day tourist route Tunzian – Nizhne-Leninskoye has given a new impetus to the development of cultural and tourist cooperation between the city of Tunzian and Russia. The city of Tunzian will continue to create convenient channels for cross-border trips and will build a cultural and tourist bridge between the cities on the two banks of the Heilongjiang / Amur River.
