Cairo, June 21 /Xin Hua/ — The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdel Ati, met here on Saturday with his colleagues from Saudi Arabia and Turkey, as well as a senior U.S. official, to discuss a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the U.S., as well as regional issues. This was reported by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the agency’s statement, B. Abdel Ati exchanged views with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan, and the senior advisor to the President of the USA on African and Arab affairs, Masud Boulos.
The parties discussed the situation in the region following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the USA earlier this week, emphasizing the importance of using this agreement to reduce tensions in the region and promote peace and stability, the statement said.
The meeting also discussed events in Libya, the Palestinian issue, and the situation in Africa. –0–
