Vladivostok, June 20 /Sin Hua/ — On Saturday, residents and guests of Vladivostok gathered in the very center of the city to celebrate the “Day of China” festival together. Bright performances, sincere and genuine interest in the millennial heritage of the Celestial Empire filled this day with warmth, joy, and a sense of spiritual closeness between the two peoples.
Tens of thousands of residents and guests of Vladivostok were able to enjoy sincere and wonderful performances by Chinese artists, try on traditional Chinese outfits, get acquainted with folk games, and sample Chinese cuisine dishes that have long won the love of Russians.
However, the celebration became not only a platform for bright impressions and cheerful communication. Special attention of the guests was attracted by the photo exhibition of the information agency “Sinyua,” whose expressive images allowed a new perspective on modern China, its dynamic development, and rich cultural heritage.
Within the framework of the festival, there was also room for deep discussions about modernization in the Chinese style, the national character and values of the Chinese people, the prospects for Russian-Chinese cooperation, as well as the role of humanitarian exchanges and interpersonal contacts in strengthening friendship between the two countries.
Speaking about the fundamental reason for China’s impressive economic development, Natalia Kondratenko, a guide at the historical and local history museum of the city of Artem / Primorsky Krai, especially emphasized the role of the country’s leadership in implementing large-scale transformations.
She noted that the success of modernization in the Chinese style became possible thanks to a far-sighted development strategy and consistent state policy. It was precisely this approach, in her opinion, that allowed winning the trust of citizens, consolidating society around nationwide goals, and directing the creative potential of millions of people towards achieving general prosperity and sustainable development of the country.
Local engineer Vadim Kuskov, in turn, drew attention to another important characteristic of the Chinese people — the aspiration for continuous development and improvement. In his opinion, the willingness of Chinese society to constantly learn, implement innovations, analyze accumulated experience, and timely correct mistakes has become one of the key factors in the country’s rapid progress.
He expressed confidence that it is precisely these qualities of the Chinese people that will allow China in the coming years to further strengthen its position as one of the world technological leaders and to take a leading position in the global automobile market.
The guests of the celebration unanimously expressed hope for the further strengthening of Chinese-Russian relations, noting their great potential. Many emphasized that the main foundation of cooperation between the two countries is people, their friendship, mutual understanding, and the desire to better learn each other’s culture and traditions.
In the opinion of local resident Maksim Glamozdin, it is precisely people’s diplomacy and cultural exchanges that can give a new impulse to the development of Chinese-Russian relations, making them stronger and more substantial.
“Events like ‘China Day’ cannot but be joyful. It is important that the residents of Russia and China not only observe each other’s culture from the outside but also immerse themselves more deeply in it, becoming direct participants. I am confident that such an approach will open new opportunities for humanitarian cooperation and give additional impetus to the development of relations between our countries,” he noted.
