Kabul, April 6 /Xin Hua/ — Five people died as a result of a head-on collision of two tank trucks in Baglan province in northern Afghanistan. This was reported on Monday by the regional government.

Two fuel tankers collided and caught fire on Sunday night in the Zard-Sang area of the Dushi district, authorities said. Another vehicle entered the fire at high speed and was engulfed in flames; five people who were in it died on the spot.

The government added that as a result of the accident, several more vehicles caught fire. The authorities explained the cause of the accident as driver error. –0–
