Tashkent, April 6 /Xin Hua/ — Electricity production in Uzbekistan for the period of January-March 2026 amounted to approximately 23.32 billion kWh, which is 7 percent more than in the same period last year. This was reported on Monday by the press service of the country’s Ministry of Energy.

About 20.16 billion kWh of electric energy was supplied to consumers in the republic during the reporting period, which is 262 million kWh more than in the first quarter of last year.

The department emphasized that the growth in energy supply stability is due to the systematic work on modernization and commissioning of new generating capacities.
