Tashkent, June 17 /Xin Hua/ — In January-May of the current year, the number of foreign citizens who visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes amounted to about 5.35 million people. This was reported by the National Committee on Statistics.
According to official data, this indicator increased by approximately 1.10 million people, or by 27.30%, compared to the same period in 2025. At the same time, the main part of the tourist flow went to the countries of Central Asia.
Kyrgyzstan became the leader in the number of inbound tourists to Uzbekistan with an indicator of about 1.54 million people.
In 2025, the total number of tourists arriving in Uzbekistan exceeded 11 million people, and the volume of the country’s export of tourist services reached 4.80 billion US dollars. –0–
