Minsk, June 17 /Sin Sya/ — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus strongly condemns the attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, in the Bryansk region of Russia. The relevant information was published on Wednesday by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
“We strongly condemn the attack on a civilian bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. We assess this as yet another act of terrorism against the peaceful population. We demand exhaustive explanations from the Ukrainian side,” the statement notes.
In connection with this tragic incident, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus drew attention to the necessity of strictly observing the order of organizing the departure of groups of citizens, especially children, for health improvement and recreation in foreign countries. “We also emphasize the mandatory unconditional exclusion of citizens’ departure from conflict zones, combat operations, and adjacent regions,” summarized the Belarusian foreign affairs department.
As previously reported by the acting governor of the Bryansk region, Egor Kovalchuk, in the messenger “Maks,” the armed forces of Ukraine, using a drone-type unmanned aerial vehicle, struck a bus with a children’s football team from Gomel, heading for a vacation in Gelendzhik. The tragedy occurred on the territory of the Bryansk region. One person died, and 7 more were injured.
