Qingdao, June 16 /Xinhua/ — China firmly supports the investment and commercial activities of transnational corporations in the country and facilitates sustainable and healthy growth. This was stated on Tuesday by Han Zheng, Vice Premier of the State Council, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 7th Summit of Leaders of Transnational Corporations in the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, East China.
China’s relentless efforts aimed at achieving high-quality development and expanding openness at a high level provide broad opportunities for the development of transnational corporations, noted Han Zheng.
He expressed hope that transnational corporations will supply high-quality goods and services, deepen industrial cooperation in China, and jointly form a new innovation-driven growth ecosystem with even greater sustainability, viability, and competitiveness.
Han Zheng also called for joint efforts to ensure the stability of global production and supply chains.
More than 700 representatives from government agencies, international organizations, transnational corporations, and business associations participated in the summit.
