Beijing, June 16 /Xinhua/ — In the first 5 months of 2026, investments in fixed assets in China decreased by 4.1% year-on-year, according to official data released on Tuesday.

The volume of investment in fixed assets amounted to 17.85 trillion yuan (approximately 2.62 trillion USD), reported the State Statistics Bureau (SSB) of China.

Excluding the real estate sector, investments in main funds decreased by 1.2 percent in the first 5 months of this year.

At the same time, according to GSU data, investments in intellectual property objects grew by 9.3% year-on-year, while investments in infrastructure grew by 0.6% compared to the same period last year. -0-
