Beijing, June 16 /Xinhua/ — During the Duanwu Festival holiday period (Dragon Boat Festival holiday), the total number of entries into the country and exits abroad will increase by 11.7% in annual terms, and the average daily number of border crossings across the country will reach 2.2 million, according to the forecast of the National Immigration Administration of China.

According to the management, the peak daily passenger flow is expected to reach 2.35 million trips.

The Duanwu Festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese lunar calendar. This year, it falls on June 19, and the holidays extend from June 19 to June 21. -0-
