Beijing, June 16 /Xinhua/ — In May of this year, the courier sector in China recorded steady growth, as evidenced by the report “China Courier Sector Development Index,” published on Monday by the State Post Bureau (SPB) of China.
In May 2026, this index increased by 3.1% year-on-year to 472.9.
The subindex of the development scale of the mentioned sector increased by 7 percent annually, the subindex of service quality practically did not change compared to May last year, and the subindex of development potential increased by 3.3 percent.
Thus, the report implies that in May, the country’s courier sector continued to expand its scale, its service system became even more diversified, and the network infrastructure was modernized, playing an increasingly noticeable role in supporting the real economy.
