Minsk, June 15 /Xin Hua/ — Belarus Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting in the Belarusian capital on Monday. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
As noted in the report, the meeting addressed issues of international and regional security, joint response to challenges and threats, countering sanction policy, and reflecting legal aggression of the collective West.
In addition, the heads of the foreign policy departments of the two countries exchanged views on the implementation of the Coordinated Action Program in the field of foreign policy of the states participating in the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State of Belarus and Russia for 2024-2026 and the plan of interdepartmental consultations for 2026, and also discussed the preparation for the next joint meeting of the ministries’ collegiums of the two countries.
The interlocutors paid special attention to cooperation within the framework of integration associations, increasing mutually beneficial dialogue with friendly countries, and coordinating efforts in international organizations.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of Belarusian-Russian contacts at all levels, impressive results of trade and economic cooperation, as well as a trusting and constructive nature of inter-governmental interaction between the two countries. –0–
