In January – March 2026, citizens paid more than 155 billion rubles through payment agents. The total number of transactions exceeded 120 million, with an average payment of 1,290 rubles.
Payment agents accept cash for payment of housing and communal services, communications, television, internet, as well as consumer goods. In the first quarter, almost 90% of transactions were for payment of housing and communal services – this is the most demanded type of transaction. The share of fines, state duties and communication services was insignificant.
Self-regulatory organizations were presented for the first time in the Bank of RussiareportingOn payment agent operations. The data allows analyzing the development of this market segment, including its dynamics at the regional level. In addition, the possibilities for assessing the availability of payments by types of operations for consumers are expanding.
