Beijing, June 11 /Xinhua/ — Recently in Harbin, a series of events called “Moscow Days” has been completed, organized by the city governments of Harbin and Moscow. As part of the program, intergovernmental consultations and the establishment of sister ties at the district level were held, which contributed to the deepening of interregional Chinese-Russian cooperation.
The parties held a seminar “Moscow-Harbin: prospects for the development of foreign economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation” with the participation of more than 100 representatives of government, business, and academic circles, a round table on historical ties “Bridge of Memory,” as well as a conference on urban healthcare issues. The Moscow delegation toured leading industrial parks and companies in Harbin, becoming acquainted with the investment environment of this city.
As part of the cultural program, an exhibition of the Russian National Music Museum “Planet Tchaikovsky” opened at the Harbin Music Museum, and Moscow artists performed at the Harbin Concert Hall. Friendly matches in hockey and table tennis were held with the participation of young athletes from two countries, as well as master classes by Russian and Chinese coaches.
Events took place as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Russia partnership relations and strategic cooperation, as well as the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between the countries.
