China has published the “National Action Plan on Human Rights /2026-2030/”

Beijing, June 11 /Xinhua/ — China on Thursday announced the “National Human Rights Action Plan /2026-2030/” at the opening ceremony of the High-Level Forum on Global Governance in the Field of Human Rights 2026.

The goals of the above-mentioned plan of action are to respect the fundamental status of the people as a subject, to protect their fundamental interests, to promote social equality and justice, and to ensure conditions under which the people can benefit more extensively from the achievements of Chinese modernization on an even more equitable basis.

The document consists of an introduction and eight chapters. It was jointly presented by representatives of the organizations participating in the mechanism of the combined meeting of the National Plan of Action on Human Rights.

During the period from 2021 to 2025, the Chinese government implemented the 4th National Action Plan in the field of human rights. The corresponding goals and tasks were successfully achieved and fulfilled; the level of human rights protection in China has significantly increased, which has also brought valuable stability and certainty to the development of human rights protection at the global level, as stated in the new action plan.
