“Currently, large-scale work continues in the city to prepare for the new heating season. Hydraulic tests are being conducted on the heating networks, during which, in accordance with the previously approved schedule, the hot water supply is turned off. After preventive maintenance, the hot water supply has already been restored to more than 18,200 buildings, including 8,300 residential homes,” said Petr Biryukov.
The organization of heat network tests is one of the key areas of preparation for the heating season. Individual pipeline sections are sequentially taken out of service, pressure is increased to check the condition of the communications. This allows specialists of PJSC “Moscow United Energy Company” to identify potentially unreliable sections in advance and promptly repair them to ensure uninterrupted heat supply to consumers during the season.
A total of more than 19 thousand kilometers of heating networks will be inspected. By the new heating season, more than 74 thousand buildings will be prepared in the capital, including over 34 thousand residential buildings.
