Employees of PJSC “NEFAZ”, a subsidiary of “KAMAZ” in Bashkortostan, underwent an examination within the framework of the all-Russian project “Oncopatrol”.

The goal of the event is early diagnosis of oncological diseases. Detecting pathologies at an early stage significantly increases the chances of successful treatment.

The “OncoPatrol” project includes two main stages. The first stage involves an in-depth medical examination. As part of this program, factory workers had the opportunity to undergo an extended medical check-up on the territory of “NEFAZA”. From April 27 to May 29, more than 1,500 enterprise employees were examined at the factory medical center. The screening program included tests, diagnostic procedures, a therapist’s appointment, as well as consultations with specialists.According to the results of the examinations, employees, if necessary, received a referral for further examination (mammography, thyroid ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, etc.) and a subsequent appointment with doctors according to the referrals.

The second stage of the project was devoted to educational work. In the conference hall of PJSC “NEFAZ,” a series of preventive lectures were held, organized jointly with oncologists of the Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The chief freelance oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Candidate of Medical Sciences Rustem Ayupov, gave a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of educational and preventive activities, urging every employee to demonstrate cancer awareness and share the knowledge gained with their close ones.As Rustem Ayupov noted, insufficient awareness of the causes of oncological diseases and neglect of preventive examinations often become the reason for late medical assistance.
