On Russia Day, June 12, the Open Festival of Tourism, Culture, and Sports will begin its work. This year, the city military-sports gathering of working youth and the Kamaz tourism rally will be held together for the first time.

The festival will last from June 12 to 14. The organizers of the event were the trade union organization of PJSC “KAMAZ”, MAU “Youth Center “Zaman”, LLC “Gigant”, the executive committee of the Azmushkinskoye rural settlement, LLC “SMPO Naberezhnye Chelny” with the support of the Youth Affairs Department of the Executive Committee and the Naberezhnye Chelny local branch of the All-Russian Political Party “United Russia”.

A large-scale event is timed to the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny and the 50th anniversary of the launch of the first KAMAZ automobile off the conveyor belt. The festival will take place on the territory of the Novy settlement. Teams from various divisions of the auto giant will participate in it. The rally will start at 13:00 with the laying of flowers at the “Motherland” memorial. Next in the program are the following stages: tourist course, shooting, musical lotto, tug of war, military song contest, dexterity of hands, sports orienteering, cross-country run, catamaran competitions, and flag capture.

The festival results will be summed up in two competitions – city and Kamaz. Within the Kamaz competition, cups are traditionally awarded in the categories “Tourism Cup,” “Sports Cup,” “Culture Cup,” and “Small Cup.” The team that scores the highest number of points at the end of the competitions will receive the grand prize – the “Champion” cup. A special award will be the “Tourism Cup” named after Ivan Pisanov – an engineer of the repair and tool plant who died in the special military operation zone.
