China is ready to deepen and strengthen cooperation with Belarus — Vice Chairman of the People’s Republic of China

Minsk, June 8 /Xin Hua/ — China is ready to strengthen communication and coordination with Belarus, comprehensively implement important agreements between the heads of the two states, and continue to deepen and strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries. This was stated on Monday in Minsk by the Deputy Chairman of the CPC Central Committee, Chen Zhèng.

Conveying a cordial greeting to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko from the Chairman of the CNC Xi Jinping, Han Zheng noted that under the strategic leadership of the two leaders, China-Belarus relations are rapidly developing and have now reached a high level of all-weather, comprehensive strategic partnership.

Han Zheng indicated that both sides should firmly adhere to the leading role of the diplomacy of heads of state, promote closer contacts at a high level, and ensure the further development of China-Belarus relations in the right direction against the backdrop of a complex international situation.

The Deputy Chairman of the CPC stated the necessity of developing a wonderful tradition of mutual support. He emphasized that China supports Belarus in choosing a development path that corresponds to its national conditions, and is ready to work with the Belarusian side to implement four major global initiatives and protect the common interests of developing countries.

Han Zheng called on both sides to strengthen the coordination of development strategies, deepen cooperation in traditional areas, explore new development spaces with mutual benefits, and consolidate the foundation of public support for friendly relations between the two countries.

A. Lukashenko on his part asked Han Zheng to convey his best wishes to Xi Jinping. He noted that under the firm leadership of Xi Jinping, China is successfully moving along the path of development, corresponding to its national conditions, and achieving outstanding successes, which causes envy in Belarus.

Belarus is an all-weather, all-encompassing strategic partner of China and its eternal reliable friend, emphasized A. Lukashenko, noting the rapid development of bilateral relations over more than 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The President of Belarus stated that his country consistently attaches great importance to developing relations with the PRC, strictly adheres to the One China principle, and supports the major global initiatives put forward by Xi Jinping. According to A. Lukashenko, Belarus aims to establish closer contacts at a high level with the Chinese side, strengthen mutual political trust, deepen practical cooperation, develop friendship between peoples, and ensure continuous progress in Belarus-China relations.
