Saint Petersburg, June 7 /Sinqhua/ — 1,084 agreements totaling 6 trillion 642 billion rubles were signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). This was reported on Saturday by Anton Kobyakov, the responsible secretary of the forum’s organizing committee.
Delegates from 142 countries and territories have arrived at the forum. According to A. Kobyakov, the total number of participants amounted to 24,500 people.
The main theme of the forum is “Pragmatic Dialogue — the Path to a Stable Future.” The forum program is dedicated to forming a new model of global development amid the transformation of the world economy. On June 5, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, spoke at the plenary session of the SPIEF with a major speech and answered questions from participants.
According to the Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov, the city signed 74 agreements at SPIEF 2026, including 41 investment agreements, for a total amount of 731.72 billion rubles. This became the third highest result in the entire history of the forum.
The 29th PMEF took place from June 3 to 6. The forum has been held since 1997. –0–
