Tehran, June 6 /Xin Hua/ — The military adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, Mohsen Rezaei, in an exclusive CNN interview on Friday called on US President Donald Trump to make decisions independent of Israel, to end the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and to unblock Iran’s frozen assets.

“The negotiations have reached a deadlock, and /President of the USA Donald/ Trump must get us out of this deadlock,” the words of M. Rezai are quoted.

He noted that if D. Trump manages to reach an agreement with Iran, unfreezing the frozen Iranian assets “will be a test that the USA must pass, and then the way will be open.”

A military adviser rejected the prospect of a potential meeting between D. Trump and Iran’s supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei. “This will not happen. Right now, we are at the first stage of negotiations, and Mr. D. Trump has brought the negotiations to a deadlock,” he explained.

D. Trump said to journalists on Thursday that he is ready to meet with M. Khamenei if the parties reach a peaceful agreement.
