Ceasefire at the Donetsk Airport
In the area of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) of Ukrainea temporary ceasefire came into effect, achieved through the mediation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This will allow for the necessary repair of the power transmission line to maintain nuclear safety. FAO Index
According to the new data from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), in May the average value of the Food Price Index was 0.2 percent lower than the revised April figure. This indicates an overall stable dynamic. The increase in price index values for cereals and sugar was compensated by a decrease in price indices for vegetable oils and dairy products. At the same time, the price indicator for meat practically did not change. Meanwhile, the FAO Index value turned out to be 2.9 percent higher than the corresponding indicator of the previous year, but a whole 18.4 percent lower than the peak level of March 2022.
