Russia and Ukraine Conduct Prisoner Exchange — Russian Ministry of Defense

Moscow, June 5 /TASS/ — Russia has returned 185 of its servicemen from Ukrainian captivity, in exchange for 185 prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Friday.

“On June 5, 185 Russian military personnel were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. In exchange, 185 Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoners of war were handed over,” the ministry reported.

The military department indicated that the returned Russian servicemen are currently on the territory of Belarus, and after receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance, they will be delivered to Russia for further treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that upon the return of Russian servicemen from captivity, the United Arab Emirates provided intermediary humanitarian efforts.
