Moscow, June 5 /Xin Hua/ — The cessation of fire, which will continue until June 23, allows for the commencement of repairs on the “Dneprovskaya” power transmission line (LEP) supplying the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. On Friday, this was reported to journalists by the General Director of the Russian state corporation “Rosatom,” Aleksey Likhachev.

“Today, at 6:00 a.m., a silence regime began, about which, with the assistance of the IAEA, attempts were made to reach an agreement until the end of March. The regime will allow us to begin repair work on the power transmission line “Dneprovskaya.” On our part, I want to thank the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the Russian Ministry of Defense and the National Guard for constructive cooperation,” noted A. Litachev.

“The ceasefire should be extended until June 23. Let me remind you that this is already the 6th quiet regime in the past year,” added the head of Rosatom. –0–
