Yerevan, June 4 /Xin Hua/ — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation on Thursday with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Armenian government.
U. von der Leyen announced that the European Union is preparing an aid package for Armenia, which includes the allocation of more than 50 million euros as immediate financial support, as well as additional measures aimed at expanding the export capabilities of Armenian products and simplifying trade.
The parties discussed programs for providing practical support to Armenia in various spheres.
An agreement was reached on the creation of a joint working group Armenia-EU, which will coordinate the implementation of the current program and discuss new directions of cooperation.
